Blackjack is a game of skill and strategy — not just luck. These tips will help you make smarter decisions on every hand.
Memorise the basic blackjack strategy chart and apply it consistently. Players who stick to basic strategy can bring the house edge down to as low as 0.5% — the best odds of any casino game.
Two aces give you the chance at two natural blackjacks. Two 8s make 16 — the weakest hand in blackjack. Always split both, regardless of what the dealer is showing.
A pair of 10s gives you 20 — a near-perfect hand. Splitting 10s is a major mistake. The same goes for a pair of 5s — you're better off doubling down on 10 than splitting into two hands worth 5.
When you have 11, the odds of drawing a 10-value card are at their highest — potentially hitting 21. Double down on 11 almost every time, unless the dealer shows an ace, in which case it's safer to just hit.
Insurance can look tempting when the dealer shows an ace, but statistically it gives the house a 6–7% edge. Players who stick to the long-term math typically avoid insurance altogether.
Decide on the maximum amount you're willing to lose in a single session before you sit down at the table. Once that limit is reached, walk away — regardless of how the session has been going.
At 17 or above, the risk of busting on a hit is simply too high. Let the dealer bust instead — especially when they're showing a weak card like 4, 5, or 6, where their bust probability is significantly higher.
Ong777 offers a free demo mode for all blackjack variants. Make full use of it to practise basic strategy with no financial risk before moving on to real-money tables at ong777.

Blackjack is one of the longest-standing games in the world of entertainment — and there's a solid reason for that. Unlike slots which rely entirely on luck, or baccarat which offers only three betting options, blackjack gives players genuine influence over the outcome of every hand through meaningful decisions. Hit or Stand, Double Down or Split — every choice you make based on sound strategy can significantly shift the mathematics of the game. That's what makes blackjack so compelling to players who want more than just pressing a button and hoping for the best. At ong777, this blackjack experience has been brought to Malaysia's digital platform with unmatched quality and completeness.
The 99.5% RTP offered by Classic Blackjack at ong777 means this is one of the lowest house edge games in the casino world — just 0.5% when played with the correct basic strategy. For context, a typical slots house edge sits around 3–5%, and baccarat around 1–1.5%. In other words, your money lasts longer in blackjack than in almost any other casino game, and your chances of walking away in profit are higher when you play with discipline and strategy.
Blackjack platform ong777 offers 18 variants covering a wide range of styles and player preferences. Classic Blackjack is the perfect starting point for anyone — standard Vegas Strip rules that most players already know, reasonable betting limits from RM 5, and a welcoming table atmosphere with no pressure. For players who prefer a faster pace, Speed Blackjack wraps up each round in 25 seconds — every minute at the table means more hands and more chances to win.
Infinite Blackjack is an exceptionally practical innovation from a Malaysian player's perspective — no more situations where every seat at the table is taken and you're stuck waiting. In this format, an unlimited number of players can join a single hand, as everyone shares the same two cards dealt by the dealer while making their own independent decisions separately. This means you can sit down at any table at any time without waiting, and your session is never affected by another player's choices or pace.
For players who prefer higher-stakes action, the VIP Diamond table ong777 offers betting limits of up to RM 50,000 per hand with exclusive service on par with premium casinos. A dedicated dealer, uninterrupted live chat, and faster response times set the Diamond table apart in both atmosphere and service. Players who reach VIP Gold tier or above in the ong777 loyalty programme are eligible for priority access to these VIP tables.
When it comes to payment convenience, ong777 accepts all major Malaysian local payment methods for blackjack deposits — Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, and FPX via Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks. Deposits are processed instantly with a minimum of just RM 10. Winnings withdrawals are processed within 5 to 15 minutes with no complicated procedures. For VIP members, withdrawals are processed even faster depending on membership tier.
Security and fairness are non-negotiable priorities at ong777. All live blackjack tables use fully transparent video streams where you can watch every dealer action in real time. Cards are shuffled using an automatic shuffling machine under continuous supervision, and a complete record of every hand you've played is saved in your account for review. For digital blackjack games, the RNG is regularly audited by internationally accredited independent bodies to verify the randomness and fairness of every outcome.
Ultimately, blackjack is the casino game most worth investing time to learn properly. Unlike slots where no decision can be made once you've placed your bet, every blackjack hand gives you the opportunity to think, assess the situation, and make a strategic call. With the basic strategy chart on this page and ong777's free simulator to practise with, you can build a solid foundation before playing with real money. We encourage you to play within your means and enjoy blackjack as entertainment — not as a source of income. Real stories from players who have experienced ong777's blackjack platform firsthand.
"I've been playing blackjack for 6 years but only switched to ong777 two years ago. The most noticeable difference is the live dealer video quality — genuinely HD, you can see every card clearly with zero pixelation. Speed Blackjack has become my favourite because you can get through 80–100 hands in an hour. Doubling down on 11 has paid off for me countless times, and withdrawals to my GrabPay are lightning fast — under 10 minutes."
"Free Bet Blackjack at ong777 is a real game changer. You can double and split without using your own credits in eligible situations — it feels like getting a free edge handed to you. In my first week using the feature, I netted RM 3,200 from sessions where I would normally have hesitated to double. The dealers are friendly too, happy to chat a little in Bahasa Melayu. Very satisfied with ong777!"
"Been a VIP Gold member at ong777 for 8 months now. The VIP Diamond table is a completely different experience from the regular tables — the dealers are far more attentive and the pace feels a lot more comfortable. Won RM 28,000 in a single night playing Power Blackjack using a strategy I picked up from the basic strategy chart on the website. The 8% daily cashback alone is enough to keep rebuilding my bankroll every day. Highly recommended for serious players."
